Math- United States Outline

Approaches to Learning- I learn best by drawing a visual of the United States. I know because before I did this picture, I did not know how the United States was shaped. I communicated my understanding by drawing the U.S. exactly how it is supposed to look. I also communicated my understanding by then coloring in the shape in the way it is supposed to be colored (only the squares inside the shape were colored, though it was confusing). By doing this, I was following directions and this told the teacher that i was understanding what we had to do.

Science- Biome Brochure

Environment- We live in a type of Temperate Forest (I think). We have rivers, trees, and animals like cows that serve as food. I do not think that we need any resources because we have enough already, though we could use some more houses for the poor people. My responsibilities are to conserve water and electricity.

Computers- Jeapordy

Approaches to Learning- I learn best by reviewing my vocabulary words in a fun way. I know because I remembered most of my vocabulary words when I took the test. I communicated my understanding by getting 100's and 90's on my test. Also, I communicated my understanding by explaining to the class what each word meant and answering questions if they asked me any.

Spanish- Book reading

Approaches to Learning- I learn best by reading more challenging books every time that I read. I know this because I expand my vocabulary. Also, I become more aware of my surroundings and all that is happening in the world. I communicated my understanding by talking with a greater vocabulary than the one I used to use.

P.E.- Volleyball

Health and Social Education- I think more clearly when I exercise or play a sport and I am not so stressed out. Also, my attitude is a lot better and I do not act all grumpy or sad. I change because i get stronger and healthier when I play volleyball. I can look after myself by keeping myself healthy and happy. I can look after others by helping them keep healthy and telling them jokes to keep them happy, like they say, "Laughter is the best medicine."

Art- "Our Future" Collage

Approaches to Learning- I learn best by doing projects about my future and what I want to be or do. I know that I learn this way because I end up learning more about myself. I also know that this is the best way to learn because I was learning to look carefully through a magazine and find exactly what I was looking for so that I cold send the right message. I communicated my understand by not only putting whatever picture I liked, but the pictures that described me. Also, the pictures that I chose only had to do with what I wanting to have or be in the future.

Social Studies- Native American Model

Homo Faber- We create because the tougher the times are, the more advanced of a technology we need. We create by looking to the past and finding out what materials they used and finding better and stronger materials. Some consequences can be positive and some can be negative . One positive consequence of things that we create is that the creation makes our lives easier. One negative consequence that our creations cause is make more pollution in the ozone layer.

Language Arts- Steps to College

Approaches to learning--- I learned best about what to do to go to college by writing down the actual steps that I need to take to reach my goal. I know that I learned the best this way because I can keep this project as a reminder of the things that I need to do to motivate me to get to college. I also know that I learned best by doing this project because now, I know more about what to do to go to college. I communicate my understanding of this project by actually doing the things on the list for my grade. Also, in the future, I can keep myself motivated by just the idea of going to college and complete every single thing on my "STEPS to COLLEGE".

What Would You Do?

1. You recieve an e-mail message from someone you don't know.
I would just not open it and erase the message.

2. Your friend is planning to met a cyberpal at the mall.
I would tell my friend that she shouldn't go because she/he doesn't know if the other person was lying.

3. A cyberpal asks for your adress so that she can send you a party invitation.
I would ignore the question and talk about something else.

A Web site asks for your full name and date of in order to enter you in a sweepstakes.
I would say " Thank you, but I don't hink I'll enter a sweepstake."

Scenerio: WHAT MIGHT JUANITA SAY TO ELISA?
1.She might tell Elisa that it was a very mean thig what she did and that they are not friends anymore.
2.She might also NOT say anything to Elisa and just let it slide.
3.Juanita might also say to Elisa that if her plan was to embarass her, it hadn't worked ( even if it kind of did).

CHAT- DO's and DON'Ts
Scenerio: WHAT SHOULD SEAN DO?
1. Sean should log out of the chat room if he doesn't feel comfortable.
2.Sean should tell the visitor to please stop insulting everyone and flooding the chat room with rude comments.
3.He could just ignore the rude messages and tell everyone else to do the same.

Scenerio:WHAT ARE YOUR IDEAS?
1.Maybe she is busy doing something else and forgets that Jared is messaging her.
2.Maybe her computer froze or turned off and it isn't working.
3.It is also possible that someone else sent her a message that says that Jared said something about her and she is mad at him.

1." Hi, um, I tried your tip and it didn't work. Do you think you can post another one?"
